Account & Data Deletion Policy

Official Account and User Data Deletion Instructions for Destora App

1. Overview

Destora respects your control over your personal data. In compliance with Google Play Developer Policies and data protection regulations, users can request the permanent deletion of their Destora account and associated personal data at any time.

2. Steps to Request Account & Data Deletion

You can initiate account deletion through either of the following methods:

AMethod 1: Via Email Request (Recommended)

  1. Send an email from your registered email address to destora.dot.in@gmail.com.
  2. Set the subject line to: Account Deletion Request - [Your Registered Phone Number].
  3. Provide your registered mobile number and full name.
  4. Our support team will verify your ownership and process the deletion within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email upon completion.

BMethod 2: In-App Support

  1. Open the Destora App.
  2. Navigate to Profile & Settings > Help & Support.
  3. Request "Delete My Account and Personal Data" to initiate the verification flow.

3. What Data Is Permanently Deleted

Upon processing your deletion request, the following information is permanently erased from our active databases:

  • Your registered user profile (Name, Profile Photo, Indian Phone Number).
  • Saved service addresses and GPS location histories.
  • Chat conversations, customer service inquiry logs, and AI assistant history.
  • Device tokens (FCM push notification tokens) and session authentication keys.
  • Provider registration documents, catalog items, and service listings (for provider accounts).

4. Data Retention for Legal & Financial Compliance

In accordance with Indian financial reporting laws, tax audits, and fraud prevention regulations:

  • Completed financial transaction reference IDs, GST invoices, and payment logs (processed via PhonePe/banking partners) are retained securely for statutory accounting purposes (up to 180 days or statutory mandate).
  • These retained transaction records are isolated and cannot be used for any marketing or non-compliance purposes.
